Use Your Gifts to Serve God and Others

Finding the ministry that is right for you can be exciting and complex. An opportunity may call to you immediately, or you may need help exploring the options. This is not obligation-driven ministry, but rather gifts-based ministry. We are all gifted and we all have something unique to offer.

Acolytes
Acolytes assist in worship by carrying a processional cross, lighting candles, holding the Gospel book, assisting in setting up and cleaning up at the altar, handing the offering plates to ushers, and many other tasks.

Church School
The children's Sunday School and Worship (for all ages!) program meets Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. until 10:20 a.m.  Each week we worship with songs, prayers, a bible lesson, and time to make our offerings.  Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in volunteering or helping out during the Children's Sunday School Programs!

St. Stephen's Forum 9:30-10:15 AM Sundays
An informal adult discussion group focusing on current issues in church life and religion. Get your coffee, pull up a chair and join us.

MOSS - Men of St. Stephen’s
MOSS meets each month for fellowship and study. Recent guest speakers include an area Rabbi and a leader of the Muslim faith community. A major events for Moss include their outstanding Old Style Country Breakfasts.

Daughters of the King
Daughters of the King meets on the third Sunday of every month following the 10:30 church service for study and prayer. DOK members commit themselves to a discipline of prayer and service. This is a National Organization very popular throughout the Episcopal Church. Open to all women of the parish.

Lay Eucharistic Visitors
(LEVS’) take the bread and wine of Holy Communion to our shut-ins and those who are ill and cannot attend services. This is a critical part of St. Stephen’s Caring Ministry. Licensed by the diocese with training and supervision provided by the Rector.

St. Stephen’s Choir
The choir provides the music for our Sunday 10:30 AM Worship Service. Volunteers are always welcome. The choir practices every Sunday at 9:00 am.  It is under the direction of Mr. Ken Breeden, organist/choir director.

Episcopal Church Women (ECW)
ECW serve our parish and the diocese in a variety of ways including providing a “Crisis Committee” to help those with particular needs and hosting special parish events and recetions.

Altar Guild
Guild members provide the important service of caring for and setting out the vessels and vestments used in our worship services. Altar Guild members are trained by the clergy and serve under the supervision of the Rector. Volunteers are always welcome.
